Purpose Palace on the Park
Studio V Architects is excited to partner with the Viola’s House and Cornerstone Community Development Corporation to provide design services to restore a 1927 home in south Dallas. The home will be completely renovated to provide both daytime care for up to fifty children along with accommodating transitional housing for up to four families with children under 36 months old. The home will include a kitchen that will serve both the nursery and the residents.
The team’s consultants include C3 Consulting Engineers providing MEP design services along with York Engineering Services, the team’s Structural Engineer. Each firm is donating their time and services in support of this amazing non-profit organization.
“We are honored to be part of this team and of this process, knowing that this house will make a huge difference in the lives of these young families,” says Studio V Managing Principal Mike Voegtle. Kalyn Ashmore, the Senior Project Manager for Studio V adds, “We are very excited to see the transformation of this residence into something that will touch the lives of so many young mothers.”
The construction of the project is also slated to air on a future episode of the television series Extreme Makeover.
